Dear Friend,
Thank you for your interest in sponsoring a child with a disability in Bethlehem. We want to share an honest update with you — one that speaks directly to the heart of why this program exists, and why your support is needed now more than ever.
An honest picture
We believe in being transparent with our supporters. This sponsorship program has been open for some time, yet the donations it has received so far remain very modest — not nearly enough to provide the full sponsorships that children with disabilities in our community so urgently need. Rather than overstate our progress, we want you to understand the real situation, and the real opportunity in front of us.
The children who are waiting
In the refugee camp alone, we currently know of more than 70 children living with disabilities who need full sponsorship — support that would cover both their living needs and their ongoing medical and therapeutic care. These are children whose families cannot afford the physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and daily support they need to grow, learn, and live with dignity.
Each of these 70 children is a real child with real potential — a little girl who could learn to walk, a boy who could learn to write, a child who could gain the independence and confidence that therapy makes possible. Right now, they are waiting for someone to stand beside them.
What sponsorship means
When you sponsor a child, you provide the steady, reliable support that changes everything. For a child with a disability, it is not a single session that transforms a life — it is consistent, month-after-month care. Sponsorship makes that consistency possible, giving a child the ongoing therapy and support their family could never provide alone.
How you can help
Every new sponsor means one more child who no longer has to wait. Whether you sponsor a child fully or contribute what you can toward a child's care, your gift becomes a lifeline for a family that has run out of options.
We are committed to using every gift responsibly, and to keeping you honestly informed as this program grows. As sponsorships begin, we look forward to sharing with you the real stories of the children whose lives your kindness has changed.
Will you help us reach one of the 70 children waiting today?
With heartfelt gratitude,
