Mann Deshi Champions has partnered with 30 government schools. Mann Deshi Champions provides training to government school coaches on personality development and basic sports training. Government school coaches training program has helped school children to advance in their athletic training and personal development.
In the month of December and January Mann Deshi Champions conducted competition of 30 government schools in Long Jump, 100 m running, 400 meter running and 800 meter running. In the competition over 2000 children participated. Mann Deshi Champions gave medals and t-shirts to 300 winners.
Throughout the competition over 2000 children were provided breakfast and a training session from Mann Deshi. Conducting local government school competitions has helped the Mann taluka’s over all achievements in sports.
On the same time our elite athletes has been winners in several tournaments Khelo India and national level competitions. Aditi plays Discus Throw at the national level in the U/18 category. She has competed at the national-level eight times and her all time personal best is a record of 39.33 m.Aditi comes from the humblest of beginnings. Despite having limited means and scarce luxuries, Aditi, with her unsurmountable will, has not left any stone unturned to nurture her skills. Having discovered her potential at a very young age, her parents, on their part, have tried to ensure that finances do not get in the way of Aditi’s successes. She is the perfect example of hard-work meeting talent, taking her from ‘potential to podium’. Aditi has won bronze medal at the Khelo India competition in Jan 2018.
Reshma is 20-year-old. She belongs to Mhaswad, a drought-prone town in Satara district of Maharashtra. She is a marathon runner and a two time national-level player for marathon and cross-country races. Reshma used to take buffaloes for grazing to a grassland located four-kilometres from her house. She spent hours chasing buffaloes which made her legs stronger and body, more agile. When her latent talent was identified and nurtured through rigorous training, she started running and winning several marathons. She says sports has given her the confidence to make decisions about herself independently and a sense of identity and respect in the society. Reshma has won national bronze medal at the cross-country open nationals.
