Mann Deshi Champions aims to provide access to sports to rural children, especially girls. We provide the necessary training and facilities to rural youth so that they can compete at the highest level and become financially independent. We strongly believe in using sport as a medium to enable a sense of dignity and self-worth amongst young athletes, especially girls.
We believe that rural youth require wholistic development for them to grow up as resposible and skilled adults, therefore, we go beyond sports and ensure they get access to knowleged from different streams such as arts, STEM, health & wellbeing.
We are currently in the process of building a new indoor sports facility and hostel for girls. The facilitiy will inculde Lodging for 100 athletes, an Indoor Basketball Court, an Indoor Badminton Court, an Arts and Music Center and a Physiotherapy Center.
This facility will play an important role in ensuring that girls have acess to a safe sporting facility to train and develop their atheletic careers. The facility will also play an important role in providing rural youth with access to an Arts and Music Centre as well as Physiotherapy.
Sucess Stories
Reshma ran the 42 km NMDC 2022 Hyderabad Marathon and won GOLD at the National Level.
Prior to joining our sports progamme, Reshma worked as a farm labourer on her father's field and would tend to farm animals. buffaloes. She says, "I joined Mann Deshi Champions because I heard that alongside sports they also give out jaggery and peanuts. I found my passion and it has taken me across India and even to America. My athleticism now earns me money, if it wasn’t for this I would have been married by now. My ambition is to become the most famous professional coach in my district!"
