Dear Alhassan Foundation's believers, supporters & family…

Thanks to your donations we were able to add 15 new members to our sports program and 3 others to our arts program, in the past 3 months. These two programs showcase the hidden potentials our members have and also help them stay healthy both physically and mentally.

We’d like to share one of our beneficiaries’ success stories whose life changed after joining our sports program. In 2004, Walid became quadriplegic due to an accident at the age of 18. For years – eight, to be exact – Walid would spend his entire day in his room; eat, drink and do everything in that room. He’d play on his computer all day long just to make his day pass faster and would only leave his home for doctors’ appointments.

In 2012, Walid heard that many people with special needs were protesting and demanding for their basic human rights. He joined that protest and met other differently abled people for the first time. It opened his eyes that he’s not alone and that there is life after one’s accident.

He became a member in Alhassan foundation in 2015 and his determination to make up for lost time revealed extraordinary abilities. He joined the foundation’s table tennis team and started competing in national championships and won a total of four gold medals and a silver one. He also competed in 2019’s African table tennis championship and won a bronze medal.

We’re forever proud of being a helping hand in our members’ journey who make something of themselves despite all the challenges they face. You, our generous donor, are a partner in these success stories as well, with your donations and support we were able to properly serve these people who have been underserved for so long.

We would like to thank each and every one of you for your support. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and stay loyal donors to our cause through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation option. That will help wheelchair users in Egypt be more confident and accomplished. Please visit our Facebook page to read other success stories:

Thank you for believing in the differently abled! :)
