Dear Alhassan Foundation’s friends, believers and supporters,

Hope you’re all safe and sound.

Sports and Arts project is one of our core projects; it offers an outlet for wheelchair users to socialize and learn new skills while maintaining their physical and mental health.

Let’s start our report with some great news! Our Karate team scored six medals in Egypt’s National championship qualifying rounds. They secured the top three ranks in both men & women leagues!

Another good news, on November 3rd, we launched Alhassan Academy for Wheelchair Basketball 8 – 21 years old. Egypt doesn’t have a youth team nor include any females. Our young beneficiaries have been training regularly since we launched the academy and they’re showing great potential! Check our video.

Our passion about sports and wheelchair basketball in particular stems from Alhassan Sedky's passion about this sport and how it impacted his life. Alhassan has been playing wheelchair basketball since his injury and it helped him overcome many challenges in life and has contributed in shaping his personality and future.

Alhassan Sedky was also chosen by IWBF (International Wheelchair Basketball Federation) to join the Athlete Steering Committee as Africa’s representative earlier this year.

On the arts front, some of our beneficiaries showcased their handmade products earlier this week in a handicraft bazar. They displayed very interesting items, like: crochet products, toys, accessories, home decorations and more.

We would like to thank every one of you for your support. We urge you to continue supporting our cause and staying loyal donors to our cause through subscribing to a monthly recurring donation option. That will help wheelchair users in Egypt be more confident and accomplished. Please visit our Facebook page to read other success stories:

Thank you for believing in the differently abled. :)
