Donors help us forge ahead.
The long awaited spring is finally here and the school children in St. Vincent and the Grenadines are on their Easter break. During this break the Youlou Art Centre is offering an art program titled 10 Days of Art.
This program focuses on creating art around the various local Easter traditions. Kite designs are being created, along with spectacular dinosaur eggs. The Easter regatta which takes place every year on the Grenadine island of Bequia is being reproduced, using drawings, and paints on paper.
Plans are afoot for the children's annual art program set for July/August.
Last year it was titled "From The Sea" this year we will continue with the same theme, we will be adding part 2 with the emphasis on octopus.
We are looking forward to seeing sculptures of extraordinary sea creatures from the deep, blue, sea and seeing many drawings of octopus doing wild and crazy things.
Stay tuned, as the plans unfold we will keep you in the loop. Ah the excitment!
Donors we are making a special appeal to you today. Your financial support is very much needed.
We do want to continue with the July/August program which is now 18 years years old.
