It has been several months since the 2018 "Growing Young SVG Artists" program!
But the memories live on. The program was a success!
Your generous support has kept this program going all these many years. Please continue to support us. The children leave the program with wonderful memories.
During the weeks of July 23 through August 3rd, the talk was about octopus and creatures from the sea. It was interesting to listen to the children describe the things octopus are capable of doing! In each location posters of octopus holding various objects such as musical instruments, flowers, and even the flag of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.  Adorable  paper mache sculptures were made, lots of fish, octopus and sea snakes. Murals were made of the deep blue sea which were delightful. The projects kept the children truly involved, a great deal of discussion and planning was needed to have a successful execution.
There is no doubt the children were fully occupied.
The sewing workshop for children between the ages of 8 to 12 was a big hit. A stuffed toy and a tote bag were made by all attending this workshop. It seems they all wanted to make something useful. The plan is to continue with the sewing workshop and look for ways to improve it.
The attendance at the Kingstown location was not as it has been in previous years, which was a bit disappointing. But the attendance in the rural areas was good. it remained the same.
Donors your financial support is  very much needed. We want to continue and grow the " Growing Young SVG Artists" program . Please do not hesitate to support us. Thank you!
