Making Valentine's Day Cards.
Here's wishing all our donors and fans the very best for 2023.
We are excited and busy! It's a new year and the focus is to improve on the events we offer! We have made plans for this year and aim to follow through.
Early in January we focused on getting more children to attend the Saturday morning art classes offered to children between the ages of 5 to 12. We reached out to the schools and we were rewarded. It also meant lowering the price of the class.
By doing this, we realize we will have to make up for the cost by doing some extra fund raising, to make the classes sustainable. In the meantime the children are enjoying the classes and are busy learning about shapes and patterns. The class also created Valentine's Day cards for the children at St. Benedict's Day Nursery and Children's Home in Georgetown. The class is also in the midst of getting ready to participate in a literary fair which will take place during the month of March.
The month of March, women's month is almost here. Plans to celebrate that month are being made.
Several special events have been planned.
On March 4, we plan to have the opening reception of the women's show, titled "Vincy Women Show Us Your Art". 14 local women artists are taking part in this show.
A Sip & Paint event is planned for March 12th and on March 17 through 19 a craft market is planned.
We know from past experiences that we have to make the effort, time and energy promoting our events in order to get a good attendance! Well we have already started the ball rolling!
