St. Vincent Teaching Art to Children

As we approach the end of the year, we reflect on the highlights of Youlou Arts Foundation. This year has been a very successful year for the organization. Much has happened. We worked hard and were fortunate to run a successful fund raising campaign on the Global Giving site. It was the first time our organization ventured into crowd funding. It took a great deal of energy and nerve but we plucked up the confidence and asked all of our many friends and family to donate. Lucky for us they were not shy, and responded in great form. We thank our donors and ask them to continue to support us. We desperately need your financial support if we are to continue offering the program every year.

The 2014 art program was a huge success. The children loved the projects and were proud of their accomplishments. They planted seeds, did some screen printing, worked with clay, made happy flags, learnt to sew. The field trips were outstanding. They had the opportunity to visit 2 of the most beautiful gardens on the island.
