Future Skills Access for BiH Returnee Kids gives 44 children from returnee communities (17 Vrbanjci - Kotor Varos, 27 Stolac) a chance at quality education. They have online math, AI tools, and instructor support. We aim to expand to more schools, reaching 50 additional students, and introduce robotics, drones, and other STEM experiences. We seek $5,000 - a fraction of total costs - to help these children access modern technologies and trainings, and unlock their potential.
Children in Bosnia returnee communities, often from minority groups, face major barriers to quality education. They lack access to technology, tutoring, and mentorship, making STEM subjects especially hard. Due to geographic isolation and limited resources, their academic potential is defined more by where they were born than by their abilities, putting them at risk of being left behind and missing opportunities to develop skills for tomorrow's STEM careers.
Future Skills Access for BiH Returnee Kids addresses the lack of STEM opportunities by providing 44 students (17 Vrbanjci, 27 Stolac) with free online math lessons, interactive tests, AI guidance (MAT-BOT), and instructor support. We will expand to 50 more students and introduce hands-on robotics, drones, and Arduino projects, giving children practical skills, confidence, and ensuring all children, regardless of birthplace, have equal STEM opportunities.
This project will increase access to quality STEM education for returnee children, building critical thinking, problem-solving, and technical skills. It inspires students to pursue higher education and STEM careers, strengthens local educational resources, and creates a sustainable pipeline of skilled youth, ensuring their potential is not limited by birthplace and giving them a fair chance to succeed and contribute to their communities.
