Timeout4Africa foundation hosted the Sneakers4Africa meets STEM GIRLS SHINE event at Mawo international school in Minna.
The event was designed to expose girls, ages 7-12 to the importance of sports and Education, This highlight of this day was the engagement with the shoe distribution team, 20 of the girls stated that the Eventt was the first time that they were exposed to school sports, They were so excited
Girls at the event received information on STEM careers and a pair of gently used shoe, they were encouraged to think about the possibilities of a STEM career opportunity and also the importance of playing sports to make new friends. The girls expressed excitement about engaging in the activities and learning about STEM.
