Dear supporters,
On June 28th we held a diversity workshop in collaboration with Osaka Creo Chuo Gender Equality Centre as part of their annual “Wai Saturday” event! With 13 participants, we had students of many ages participating. Here is some of the feedback received from parents:
"They (the teacher) spoke in a way that was easy for the children to listen and understand."
"It was the first time for me to learn about diversity in English, and I enjoyed it."
"The content was easy to understand, and I learned a lot from the English. I would like to talk about the advantages of diversity at home."
We were happy to see that both parents and children enjoyed the workshop! Although our workshops can only focus on a small topic in a limited time frame, we are grateful that parents can use them as a catalyst to facilitate discussions at home.

Alongside educational workshops, we believe it is important to expose children to people from diverse backgrounds, and we were able to facilitate three sessions with Japanese elementary school students, Japanese university students studying abroad, and students from the United States visiting Japan.
The younger children were especially curious asking questions to the American students, but it was also encouraging for them to hear from Japanese students studying in other countries, including challenges but also about how they have broadened their horizons after meeting new people and experiencing new cultures.
As always, we appreciate your continued support and are looking forward to updating you in the upcoming months!
