Dear Donors and Well Wishers
Greetings!!
We are very grateful for your generous support of our Stop Hunger Project. The Stop Hunger Project aims to provide support to 100 families of persons with disabilities who are senior citizens and do not have any support from any source. They are of age, and the chances of getting formal or informal work are meagre. It is challenging for them to get even a one-time meal. They might beg or do other illegal work to get a time meal. To stop them from entering into begging, the Stop Hunger Project was launched. The project has given dignified life to people with disabilities. The story of Mr. Kanjibhai tells Stop Hunger initiative is meaningful and impactful on human lives. Kajibhai is 65 years old, he acquired blindness at the age of 6 years due to heavy fever. He studied at the school for the blind. He wanted to study further but did not get support from family, and school administration. He learnt vocational skills, he is very skilful at canning work. His source of income was through canning work. Earlier, there was a great demand for canning work, furniture like chairs, sofas etc were made through canning. Over the years, the demand for canning work went down due to changes in the style of furniture. It was very challenging for him to get work, however, he managed to get work from different sources. Corona pandemic has changed the life of Kanjibhai. He could not to get enough work after Corona pandemic and it was very difficult to survive. Whatever little savings he had, it was getting reduced. He was worried about his future. Many times he slept hungry. One day; he was contacted by Stop Hunger Team, and his name was registered for ration kit support. He was very happy. He started getting Ration Kit regularly. He was very happy with this support. The economy was opened for job work. He got some work, but not regularly. He decided to work, and if he does not get work he will ask for Ration Kit support. He said, his life full of joy and peaceful because of Stop Hunger Project. He also added that it was very tough time not to get meal or food for one or two days. It was also hurting, and painful to beg for food. He decided to beg, but never dare for begging. He is out of begging industry only because of your support to Stop Hunger Project. Not only Kanjibhai, there are 100 people with disabilities who are always remain grateful to donor like you.
