Today, violence against women has become a common problem all over the world. Women are considered just a consumable item of inferior standard in the male dominated society. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sanstha, with the support of Global Giving Foundation, has been executing an impressive project in order to prevent violence against women.
The organisation has been making its efforts with full of energy for several sensitive women related issues as dowry, domestic violence, save girl, child marriage, gender equality. The government has issued some facts which show that the project has its significant effect in the society.
Gender is a major issue in rural areas. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has been running public awareness program on a large scale for gender equality, saving girl, educating girl, prention of female foeticide in remote villages for last two years. The facts published by the government reflect higher birth rate of girls in last year as compared to the birth rate of boys. It has happened in so many years that the birth rate of girls is higher.
It seems that the effects of the public awareness programs under the projects is the reason due to which people has been changing their minds. Also, there is some reduction in the matters of female foeticide. The project itself has the objective to get women respect in the male dominated society and they live in a safe and secured environment. We hope that the project will achieve its objective in the near future.
