An IMPACT Story !!****
RSKS India organized an awarenss workshop in a distant village of Ajmer 7 months ago where the Team RSKS met with Asha (Name Changed), a victim of violence against women. She told us that she got married 5 years ago. Her husband was a rickshaw puller did odd jobs. He spent all his earnings in consuming liquor due to which we had trifles in the family very often. I had two children and such trifles had bad impact on them. I tried to convince my husband many times to leave consuming liquor, but he didn't listened to me and beat me.
I got frustrated from domestic violence happened to me everyday and I made complaint in police station, but they just settled the matter by making us to have compromise. The team RSKS listened to me and met with my husband and conducted counselling with him. The team completed the counselling in 5 phases in order to convince my husband to leave consuming liquor and domestic violence. After the hard work and all efforts made by the team RSKS for two months She has experienced positive changes. Her husband has controlled her habit to consume liquor and given up violent activities totally. He does savings and gives them to Asha to meet family expenses.
RSKS also gave free study material to Asha for the educational development of her two kids. Now, Asha and her husband lives happily and providing better education and health to their children for which Asha gives the credit to the hard working Team RSKS and GlobalGiving Foundation to make women aware in the society.
