An Story of Sohni from Ground....

By Team | RSKS India

41 Years old Sohni (Name Changed) lives in a remote village called Nuriyawas. She lives with her two children. The responsibility of raising her children is only on her. Sohni grazes the cattle in order to earn. Many times there were situations when she had to face financial problems and because of this her younger son started doing labour work in order to help in the financial expenses of the family.

At the time of total lockdown when Covid-19 started increasing, Sohni had to face many problems as her son got unemployed and during this time, ration food shortage also became a problem. With the increase in the duration of the lockdown, their problems also started increasing. There were problems like food shortage in the house but there was no income.

In this time, RSKS India gave helping hand. RSKS India is standing with all the needy people during this time of crisis. RSKS India did ration distribution program during this time in Nuriyawas village and Sohni also got benefitted by this program. Under this ration material Flour, rice, pulses, spices, oil etc were given. From this ration material, their food needs got secured and she was able to give her family two times of food at time.

Thank You
Team RSKS India
