In today’s time women and men both should earn for their family but still it is seen that so many women and girls living in rural areas are having some ideas for self-employment but they are never converted into a reality as because of lack of support and due to financial problems. These women and girls want to help and support their families financially but due to not having money to start their own business they are unable to do anything. These women and girls can do something but they are not linked to each other and does not know much about banking activities.
Keeping all these problems in mind, RSKS India started Self Help Group (SHGs) Program with these poor women and girls. In this Self Help Group program, 10 or more than 10 women and girls are formed into a group and then they are given loan on a very low interest rate. This loan is then utilized in making their ideas of self-employment into reality. Till now, RSKS India has formed more than 200 Self Help Groups in different inaccessible rural areas and has distributed approx. 10,00,00,000 INR as loan to around 2000 women. RSKS Team members take monthly meetings of these groups in which these groups women and girls discuss their problems with each other and then a solution for their problems is being achieved.
Self Help Group program of RSKS India have fulfilled dreams of so many women and girls and have made them self-reliant by helping them in making their ideas of self-employment into a reality by providing them loan on a very low interest rate. Now these women and girls are helping their families financially and now their voices are heard in the family decisions. The confidence of these women and girls have been increased and their self-employment has boosted their morale and have encouraged them to grow more.
