The Her Voice.......

By Hansraj Singh | Manager Communication

Good Day Friends !

I am part of the most transparent and credible non profit organization, RSKS INDIA. We at RSKS India deliver our best to improvise the condition the marginalized and deprived communities and all the RSKS India team members are committed towards impact. From time to time we see the impact stories from ground through our feedback forms. One of these wonderful Beneficiary's story is shared with you through this report.

Mesmerizing Story Of Krishna......!!

I am Krishna (Name Changed), I am 34 years old and I have a 14 year old daughter too. I live with my husband and my 3 children in a small inaccessible village far away from the city. In our area, women are not allowed to go out and do anything so we have to be dependent on our husband our on our father if anything has to be brought from the market. It is old culture of using cotton cloths, etc materials during the menstruation time. My daughter also got her first periods but as a mother I thought to give her sanitary napkins but how was the question. So, I have her what I used and from this way she also started using the old culture.

After few days, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan team members visited our village and called every woman and girl to a place to have a workshop. My neighbor told me to come with my daughter at the workshop and then I called my daughter and together we went to attend the workshop. The workshop was about better menstrual health. RSKS team members were explaining each and every rural woman about better menstrual practices and about the things which can happen if better menstrual practices are not adopted. Also, in the workshop they explained about not using the old culture materials like cotton, cloth etc. during the menstruation as it can lead to severe diseases. At the end of the program, everyone was given sanitary napkins by the RSKS team members and were told about using it whenever it is needed. After few days them came back again to take the feedback from every woman and girl about the workshop and the sanitary napkin.

I was not well educated so I did not know all these things about menstrual health but when I came to know about this in the workshop then I got to know that why some women from our village sick and no one said anything about it. Now I cannot think anything happening to my daughter so I have adopted sanitary napkins whenever she or me get our menstruation period. I also talked about all the things which happened in the workshop to my husband and then he also supported me in purchasing the sanitary napkins for my daughter and myself. I thank RSKS India from bottom of my heart to let me know about this big problem and giving me solution of this problem.

We at RSKS India would love to hear back from you through your feedback, comments & Suggestions on our program. Please check out our website: www.rsksindia.ngo or reach out to us at rsksindiaorg@gmail.com
