Respected Patron !
RSKS INDIA is working for ''May All Live Happily'' and is always taking new steps for that. From time to time we see the impact stories from ground by our feedback forms. one of these Beneficiary's story is shared in this report.
Meet with Mumtaz......!!
Mumtaz (Name Change) grew up in a rural village, where her family struggled to make ends meet. Her parents were farmers, and they worked hard to provide for their family, but their income was never enough to cover all their expenses. Mumtaz had a passion for sewing and making clothes. She often helped her mother with sewing clothes for their family, but she had never received any formal training in garment making.
One day, during a baseline survey conducted by RSKS India team members in her village, they discovered Mumtaz's interest in sewing and suggested that she enroll in the Advanced Garments Making Vocational Education school run by RSKS India. Mumtaz was thrilled at the opportunity to learn more about sewing and garment making. She enrolled in the program and attended daily 3.5 hours of practical sessions and 1.5 hours of theoretical sessions for three months.
During the program, Mumtaz learned about different sewing techniques and garment styles. She was fascinated by the art of pattern making and enjoyed experimenting with different fabrics and designs. After completing the program, Mumtaz started sewing clothes for people in her village. She quickly gained a reputation for her high-quality work and attention to detail. Her clients were impressed with her skills and soon she was receiving orders from people outside of her village as well. Mumtaz's income from sewing allowed her to contribute to her family's income and support her siblings' education. She was proud to be able to help her family financially and contribute to their household expenses. She is grateful to RSKS India for giving her the opportunity to pursue her passion and start her own business.
Mumtaz's story is a testament to the power of vocational education in transforming the lives of young people from low-income families. With the skills she learned at RSKS India, Mumtaz was able to turn her passion for sewing into a successful business and provide for her family's needs. She is a role model for other young people in her community who may be interested in pursuing vocational education and starting their own businesses.
