Dear Patron Namaste!
A Warm Greeting from RSKS India.......
Gender-based violence remains a deeply entrenched issue in numerous rural communities, including those in Rajasthan. Discrimination, abuse, and violence against women and girls persist, perpetuating cycles of fear and inequality. Limited awareness and education on this critical issue exacerbate the problem, leaving individuals vulnerable and isolated. In these marginalized regions, addressing gender-based violence requires targeted, community-wide interventions. It is imperative to equip young minds with the knowledge and tools to challenge harmful norms and behaviors, ultimately fostering a culture of respect and equality.
To combat the pervasive issue of gender-based violence, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) launched an expansive Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Eradication Campaign. This initiative reached out to 36 rural villages and engaged with over 1800 children from local schools. Poster-making competition organized by RSKS team members allowed groups of 10 children from each school to collaboratively express their thoughts and solutions to combat gender-based violence through art. The competition witnessed impressive participation, with each group producing visually striking posters that conveyed powerful messages towards the eradication of gender-based violence. At the conclusion of the program, RSKS recognized and awarded the winning group. This acknowledgment not only celebrated their artistic talents but also reinforced the importance of their contribution in the fight against gender-based violence.
The Gender-Based Violence Prevention and Eradication Campaign organized by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan yielded significant positive outcomes. Firstly, it heightened awareness among the participating children about the pervasive issue of gender-based violence, arming them with knowledge and insights to challenge it. The poster-making competition provided a dynamic platform for creative expression, enabling children to communicate their ideas and perspectives effectively. Moreover, the program fostered a sense of unity and collective responsibility among the children, as they collaborated to address a shared concern. The teachers and the children thanked RSKS India team at the end of the program for organizing such a beautiful program.
