A Story of RIMA.........!!
My name is Rima (Name Changed), and I'm 20 years old. Life hasn't always been easy for me, especially after I lost my parents a few years ago. Their sudden passing left me with a heavy heart and a lot of responsibilities. With no other family around, I moved in with my uncle. He's been kind and generous, but he doesn't have much money himself. Our financial struggles weighed heavily on us both.
Despite the challenges, I've always been determined to make the best of my situation. I knew I needed to find a way to support myself and my uncle. My mother taught me how to sew when I was younger, and I found joy in the art of creating something beautiful from simple fabrics. Though I was skilled, I lacked the means to pursue it as a way to make a living.
One day, my life changed when a team from the Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, or RSKS India, visited our small village. They were speaking with locals about their skills and ways they could be supported. I hesitated at first, but my uncle encouraged me to speak with them. When I told them about my sewing abilities, they seemed genuinely interested and offered to help me. I was touched by their kindness when they provided me with my very own sewing machine. I couldn't believe it at first. For years, I had dreamed of having my own machine, but it always seemed impossible given our financial struggles. This generous gift from the RSKS team opened a new chapter in my life.
With the sewing machine, I began to take on small sewing projects for the people in my village. I stitched clothes, mended garments, and even started designing my own patterns. As word spread about my work, more people came to me with their sewing needs. I was able to earn an income and contribute to our household expenses, which brought a sense of relief and pride. My uncle and I were so grateful to the RSKS team for their support. We thanked them from the bottom of our hearts, knowing that their generosity had given us a chance to change our lives for the better. My uncle could finally rest a little easier knowing I had a way to support us both.
