Project Report | Dec 9, 2024
Women's Rights, A Shared Responsibility !!

By Team | RSKS India

Dear Respected Donor, Namaste!

Warm Greetings from RSKS India Family!!

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized a comprehensive awareness campaign under the “Her Voice: Stop Violence Against Women” Project during the International Pushkar Fair 2024. This initiative aimed to raise awareness about the pressing issue of violence against women and promote gender equality, while also addressing other social evils related to it. The campaign featured a Camel Cart Awareness Drive, where RSKS India utilized decorated camel carts, which are symbolic in Rajasthan, to spread messages about stopping violence against women. These carts traveled across the fairgrounds, attracting attention and sparking conversations among the fair attendees. The vibrant display was a powerful tool for reaching a diverse audience, including locals and international visitors.

Alongside the camel cart drive, a Signature Campaign was organized to engage the public in pledging their support against violence towards women. Visitors were invited to sign a petition advocating for the protection of women’s rights and the elimination of violence. The My Selfie campaign encouraged participants to hold placards with anti-violence messages and take selfies, which were then shared on social media platforms. This initiative helped amplify the message of gender equality and the importance of standing up against violence. The program also included collecting feedback from the participants to understand their perspectives on the issue and gather insights for future interventions.

The “Her Voice: Stop Violence Against Women” Project had a profound impact at the International Pushkar Fair 2024, with over a thousand individuals participating in the various activities. The Camel Cart Awareness Drive effectively captured the attention of the crowd, with many people stopping to read the messages and ask questions. This initiative reached a diverse audience, including tourists, locals, and rural populations, creating widespread awareness of the importance of stopping violence against women.

The Signature Campaign garnered significant support, with hundreds of fair attendees actively participating by signing the petition. This demonstrated the growing commitment to fight against violence and other social evils affecting women. The My Selfie activity was particularly impactful, as it involved a younger demographic, including both men and women, who pledged to become advocates for the cause. These selfies were shared on social media platforms, further extending the campaign’s reach and visibility. The one-to-one consultations provided a safe space for women to share their experiences, empowering them to speak up about the violence they faced. Many women reported feeling more confident after their discussions, with several pledging to seek support and take action against their abusers.

The feedback gathered helped RSKS India refine future programs and provided valuable insights into how the organization can improve its outreach efforts. The overall impact of this project was significant in raising awareness, changing attitudes, and creating a stronger community commitment to ending violence against women. It contributed to an environment where women felt supported and were encouraged to raise their voices against injustice.

We welcome your comments and suggestions on this report and are grateful for your support in making such impactful experiences possible.

Warm regards,
Team RSKS India
