Dear Friend, Namaste!
Warm Greetings from RSKS India Family!!
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan (RSKS India) organized a "Financial Literacy Program with Women Self Help Group" to empower rural women with essential financial knowledge and skills. This program, conducted with around 120 women from 12 women self-help groups (SHGs), aimed to build financial awareness and enhance their ability to manage personal and group finances effectively. The RSKS team conducted an interactive session using flipcharts, role-playing, and group activities to make learning engaging and practical. The session covered essential topics such as the importance of savings, understanding financial instruments, and navigating banking services like opening accounts, accessing loans, and using digital payment methods. The women were also taught how to plan budgets, track expenses, and utilize government schemes effectively.
Through collaborative activities, participants gained hands-on experience in managing funds and identifying ways to generate income for their SHGs. Real-life scenarios and problem-solving exercises helped them understand the practical applications of financial literacy in their day-to-day lives. The program concluded with a warm gesture of gratitude as the RSKS team served delicious food to all participants, fostering a sense of community and appreciation for their active involvement in the initiative. The "Financial Literacy Program with Women Self Help Group" had a profound impact on the lives of the participants. The 120 women from 12 SHGs gained a clearer understanding of financial management, enabling them to make informed decisions for their households and group activities.
This newly acquired knowledge boosted their confidence in handling financial matters, including navigating banking systems and accessing financial services independently. They now understand the value of savings, which will help them build a secure financial future for themselves and their families. The SHG members also learned collaborative financial planning, which has the potential to enhance the group's ability to invest in small enterprises and income-generating activities. These skills can pave the way for economic stability and self-reliance within their communities. The program also fostered a sense of empowerment among the women, encouraging them to take active roles in financial discussions and decisions.
We welcome your comments and suggestions on this report and are grateful for your support in making such impactful experiences possible.
Warm regards,
Team RSKS India
