Dear Esteemed Donor, Namaste!
We’re proud to work with RSKS India, empowering marginalized communities with transparency and impact. Here’s one inspiring story of change we’re thrilled to share with you.
A Story of ANDREW.........!!
My name is Andrew (Name Changed), and I’m a 52-year-old visitor from abroad. When I first arrived at the International Pushkar Fair 2024, I had no idea that I would be so deeply moved by the work being done by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan through their "Her Voice: Stop Violence Against Women" project. I had heard about this initiative before I arrived, but seeing it in action was an entirely different experience.
The scale of the project was incredible. As soon as I entered the fairgrounds, I noticed the Camel Cart Awareness campaign. Camel carts, an iconic feature of Rajasthan’s culture, were decorated with large, bold banners that carried strong anti-violence messages. I watched as these camel carts made their way around the busy fair, catching the attention of people from all over the world. It was fascinating to see how RSKS India had creatively used this traditional mode of transport to engage people in such an important cause. The sight of the carts driving through the fair with these messages felt powerful and gave me a sense of hope that people were beginning to notice and talk about the issue.
Next, I saw the Signature Campaign being run by the team. A booth was set up where visitors, both locals and tourists, were invited to sign a petition to support women’s rights and the fight against violence. I was impressed by the number of people who stopped by to sign. It wasn’t just an isolated group; people from various backgrounds and cultures were eager to show their support. It was heartwarming to see so many individuals, regardless of where they were from, coming together for such a universal cause.
The "My Selfie" campaign was another creative initiative that caught my eye. Visitors were encouraged to take selfies with anti-violence slogans and share them on their social media profiles. Watching people from different parts of the world join in was inspiring. It struck me how powerful these small, personal actions could be in spreading the message far and wide. Social media has a reach like no other, and RSKS India had tapped into that perfectly. I could see how these selfies were creating ripples of awareness that extended beyond the fairgrounds.
As I watched all of these efforts unfold, I felt a profound sense of respect for the RSKS India team and the work they were doing. The project had far exceeded my expectations, and I left the Pushkar Fair feeling inspired by the impact it was having. The "Her Voice" campaign was not just about spreading awareness—it was about creating a movement, one that encouraged every individual to stand up against violence, to support women, and to work together for a safer, more just world. I’m grateful to have witnessed this important work, and I hope it continues to inspire positive change far beyond the fairgrounds.
