Dear Respected Donor, Namaste!
Warm Greetings from RSKS India Family!!
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized the impactful “My Childhood - My Rights Campaign”, aimed at raising awareness about the critical issue of Ending Child Marriage. The program began with a workshop attended by 2300 schoolgirls of 46 different rural schools, where they were educated on the importance of ending child marriage through engaging flipcharts and storytelling. These interactive methods helped the girls understand the negative consequences of child marriage on education, health, and overall development. After the workshop, the participants were given drawing sheets and encouraged to illustrate their thoughts and messages on ending child marriage. The girls created powerful visuals that conveyed strong messages and shared their drawings with their peers, further emphasizing the importance of their vision.
To amplify their voices, the participants organized a public rally in their village. Holding placards and banners with impactful slogans, they marched through the streets, urging the community to stop child marriages and ensure a better future for children. Additionally, the girls participated in a signature campaign, pledging their commitment to oppose child marriage. The innovative “My Selfie” activity added a unique touch, with each girl holding up a personalized message advocating for the cause. At last, each participant received colors, chocolates, and pens, celebrating their efforts and reinforcing their commitment to the cause.
The “My Childhood - My Rights Campaign” made a significant impact on both the participating girls and their community. The workshop empowered the 2300 schoolgirls with essential knowledge about their rights and the harmful impacts of child marriage. By actively participating in creative activities like drawing and storytelling, the girls developed a deeper understanding of the issue and strengthened their resolve to oppose it. The public rally served as a bold and effective medium for spreading awareness in the village. Community members were visibly influenced by the energy and determination of the young participants, initiating conversations about the need to end child marriage and prioritize education and empowerment.
The signature campaign and the “My Selfie” activity further personalized the message, encouraging the girls to take ownership of the cause. These activities not only left a lasting impression on the participants but also extended the campaign's reach beyond the immediate community, as the personalized messages were shared and discussed widely. Parents, educators, and local leaders praised the initiative, acknowledging its role in creating a ripple effect toward societal change. This initiative planted seeds of change, fostering a generation of informed, confident, and empowered advocates for child rights.
