Dear Patron, Namaste!
Warm Greetings from RSKS India....
In a determined effort to confront the social roots of gender inequality, Rajasthan Samagra Kalyan Sansthan implemented a dynamic rural intervention under its flagship initiative “Humari Awaz Suno.” The program directly engaged over 700 adolescents from around 15 government schools, transforming classrooms into platforms for awareness, dialogue, and leadership. Rather than treating young people as passive recipients of information, the initiative positioned them as changemakers equipping them with knowledge, confidence, and a strong moral voice to challenge gender-based violence within their own communities.
Through structured learning sessions, the RSKS team simplified complex concepts of gender-based violence using engaging flip charts and interactive discussions. Adolescents openly explored harmful stereotypes, power imbalances, and the consequences of silence. Guided group dialogues encouraged critical thinking, while student-created charts reflected their evolving understanding and commitment to fairness and dignity. The sessions fostered empathy, strengthened peer solidarity, and nurtured youth-led advocacy.
Learning extended beyond school boundaries. Students organized a vibrant public rally across the village, raising slogans and carrying placards calling for equality and zero tolerance for violence. The campaign gained further strength through a community-wide signature drive, where students, teachers, and villagers publicly pledged to stand against gender-based violence transforming awareness into collective accountability.
Adding innovation to advocacy, adolescents led the “My Selfie” campaign, sharing portraits with powerful equality messages throughout the village. This creative approach ensured the conversation entered homes and hearts alike. The initiative is cultivating a generation that believes in respect, justice, and shared responsibility for a safer future.
Thank you for being a constant source of hope and positive change.
