Rajasthan Samgran Kalyan Sansthan has organised a program for the eradication of child marriage under the project "stop violence against women". In this program, the awareness message was delivered to public by signature campaign, selfie program in rural fairs. The signature campaign was supported by almost 190 persons and awareness message for the eradication of child marriage was delivered to more than 300 persons by poster, selfie.
Hundred of child marriages are held in Rajasthan state on the ocassion of "Akha Teej", the great mahurat for the marriage ceremonies. Due to traditional social evils, tradition and lack of education, these sort of child marriages are held at a great level. Child marriage ruins the life of children and being a mother in a small age leads the brides to severe diseases. Child marriage is just like a Sickness in the society. Therefore, "Child marrige eradication" has been organised by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan. The program has a positive effect on the society which resulted into a reduction of child marriages held on the "Akha Teej" this year.
We are so glad to inform you that Alma Foundation has awarded Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan with "National Excellence Award, 2016" in an award ceremony program organised at a five star hotel in Indore, Madhya Pradesh for the organisation's perfomance of remarkable works for the welfare of deprived section in various areas as women empowerment, lielihood development, health and educational development, environment conservation, prevention violence against women. It is a matter of pride.
The achievement has a significant share of our associate Global Giving Foundation and the Honourable donors because their support enables us to work fast, efficiently and effectively for the welfare and empowerment of the marginalized section.
