Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, is succesfully Implementing the project for "Prevention of Violence against Women". Under the project, several widespread public awareness campaigns are being organised such as right based workshop and seminar, road shows, puppet show, poster competitions, awareness and promotional meetings, oath taking programs are the major parts of this campaign.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has created 35 awareness paintings in 6 different villages for respect and dignity of women in the male dominated society. All 35 paintings at several public places in the villages of Peesangan, Ajmer, have been painted with oil paint. Each wall painting has 10 x 5 feet size and conveys message for prevention of female foeticide, stopping child marriage, save girl and educate girl, domestic violence, legal rights of women and many other sensitive issues.
In addition to this, workshop and awareness meetings have been organised with villagers in these 6 villages. All men and women participated enthusiastically in the campaign. These wall paintings are having deep impact on the community as "Prevention of violence against women" has now become a major campaign which is being praised by the society and men are taking oath for respect and dignity of women determined for the same. This results into gender equality. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan believes that the campaign would become a widespread movement in the near future.
