News of violence against women is so often heard in the society. Domestic violence has the largest weight among all the cases. Violence against women includes all exploitation activities as beating, taunts, abusing, abasement etc. inside a house are considered. Women bear so many exploitation but then to our society doesn't know much about such violence because exploited and victimized women don't have heart to talk about all of this to anyone. Now it is required to take necessary actions in order to get these exploited and victimized women their title and to eradicate violence against women from the society.
Such a campaign "Stop Violence against Women" is being Implemented by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan with the financial support of Global Giving Foundation. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has organised "Stop Violence against Women" campaign in Ajmer during 5-days International Pushkar Fair. The campaign was started with a road show in which awareness message was conveyed to both localites and tourists. Then, taking 'prevention of violence against women' as the subject, a puppet show and a road show were held to make people aware of violence against women. The program has gathering of both domestic and foreign tourists. The message was delivered to public by sand art during these 5 days. The sand art had a new subject everyday as gender equality, prevention of violence against women, prevention of child marriage, prevention of female foeticide, save girl-educate girl, etc.
Domestic and foreign tourists participated the program proactively and appreciated the effort. "Your selfie" is also the centre of attraction among the tourists in which they appealed to ''prevent violence against women'' by their selfie. The activists of Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan also organised signature campaign on several social issues as prevention of violence against women, save girl-educate girl, gender equality etc. People contributed proactively and registered their support by doing signatures and took oath to prevent the violence. More than 5000 people were made aware directly or indirectly during the 5-days celebration.
One of the impressed foreign tourists had conversation with our activist. He was James, came India especially to visit the Pushkar fair from Australia. It was his third visit of Pushkar fair but he had never been impressed so much than this visit. He contributed in 5-days "Stop Violence against Women" and became a part of it.
He said, "I support this initiative of Global Giving Foundation and Rajasthan Samrah Kalyan Sansthan becuase each woman out of three is a victim of the violence in the world. We are supposed to oppose such activities in the society and come forward to protect woman." Jame congratulated our activists along with Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, Global Giving Foundation and the donors and appreciated the initiative. During these 5 days, he participated in all activities and support the activists and the program for which Global Givng and Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan thanked him.
