Break The Silence.....My Life ~ My Rights !!

We have been getting your valuable generous support through GlobalGiving and we are thankful to you from the core of our heart.

Women, in the male dominated society, are still bound to follow many orthodox customs and traditions. They can't move out of their homes and due to which they have to face many sort of exploitation. We hear of many things related to violence against women very often and the awareness of the society is required must for the prevention of such activities. Women will be exploited untill they are not aware of their legal rights.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation makes people aware through workshops, signature campaigns, awareness rally, street, road and puppet shows. The organization has operated several workshops in distant villages where our activists give necessary information of womens' legal rights. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organizes road shows, awareness rally and workshops to make people aware of disadvantages of female foeticide, child marriage, dowry and other sensitive issues and messaged to prevent such activities.

The organization took a unique initiative when we got a proposal of the Panchayat of Kesarpura and Rajgarh approved, according to which, when a girl baby is born at someone's home, the parents will be honoured by the public representatives and 11 trees will also be planted. The initiative will help to control the reducing ratio of girls in the society and they will also have a status in the society. The family in which a girl baby is born will get several rebates and subsidies and the Government School will be have the responsibility of primary education of the baby.

A workshop was held by Mr. Deepak, one of our activists where people got information of their legal rights. Deepak explained the act of violence against women with the help of examples. During his speech, he saw a woman crying and asked her the reason. She answered that she was also a victim of such activities. After being married, her husband abused and beat her. So she left her in-laws place but nothing was changed. Now she decided to take legal actions against her husband for which she was informed in the workshop organized by the organization earlier. The woman thanked Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation for providing the proper guidance.
