Dear donor and friend, it was on a rainy day in August, when the volunteer firefighters found that little helpless dog in the streets, disoriented, frightened. She was brought to the community animal shelter, where she had to share a cubicle with other dogs, far bigger than her, which scared her even more. When the vet came in to examine her, he diagnosed malnutrition, digestive problems and blindness, one of her eyes was suffused with blood, probably caused by a strong blow or an accident, plus, she was in heat and it was obvious that she had been exploited by her former owner, and given birth to far too many litters of puppies. Her situation was deplorable, it was cold, food was never enough and she had to get over so many traumas, physical as well as emotional. The vet felt compassion for her, informed us about her situation and immediately we received her in a private foster home, which quickly changed into her forever home. Kiwi is quite a personality, funny, patient, and everyone loves her, even the cats. She became her human´s faithful shadow and can finally rest from abuse and pain.
