Children from Poland need psychological support!

Thanks to your donations, we have now  managed to launch street educators and free and publicly available psychological support for the city of Zywiec.

In May 2023, we organized training courses during which we prepared educators to work with a difficult but very effective street working method. Thanks to this, from June 2023, our employees have conducted meetings twice a week on the streets and parks of Zywiec, in which nearly 30 children take part. Our beneficiaries are often children and teenagers who are at risk of social exclusion. They come from dysfunctional families or are in a psychological crisis. During the meetings, they spend time together outdoors, have fun, and at the same time establish relationships and have the support of qualified professional teaching staff. Additionally, we organize additional attractions for   these children, such as joint trips to the park, cinema or ice rink. In December, we all met together for a pre-Christmas meeting to celebrate and enjoy the magic of Christmas together.

Our greatest success  has been  the launch of a fast, free and publicly available psychological support service  for  the children and adolescents from January 2024. Before this  there had been no such facility for residents in the entire district. Free psychological assistance involved waiting for a visit of at least 3 months, which is unacceptable in the current circumstances and may threaten the child's safety. There are the surgeries of private psychologists but  the costs of these visits are high and not affordable for every family.

Since January alone, as many as 16 children have benefited from our psychologist's help. Most of these children  require regular and lasting psychological support, which they can  now receive thanks to your donations. Our heartfelt thanks to you and please continue to support this project.
