Since the outbreak of civil war in Sudan in April 2023, the humanitarian situation has worsened dramatically. More than 10 million people have been displaced, struggling with severe shortages of food, shelter, and hygiene. Children, women, and the elderly remain the most affected by this ongoing crisis.
Our Response
Through the Sudan Emergency Relief Project, YEÇED (Children of the Earth Association) has been working hand in hand with local partners to deliver life-saving aid to displaced families. Our efforts have focused on:
Hot meal distributions that provide immediate relief to families facing hunger,
Hygiene kit provision to prevent the spread of disease and maintain dignity,
Essential supplies such as blankets, water containers, and emergency shelter items to protect families in fragile conditions.
Achievements to Date
Thousands of meals distributed to families in displacement camps,
Hygiene kits delivered to vulnerable households, reducing health risks,
Essential items provided to support families living without adequate shelter.
Challenges Ahead
Despite our ongoing support, the scale of needs continues to escalate. With no end to the conflict in sight, millions of Sudanese remain in urgent need of humanitarian assistance. The situation demands not only emergency relief but also long-term strategies to build resilience and restore dignity for displaced communities.
Our Commitment
YEÇED reaffirms its commitment to respond swiftly, stand in solidarity, and ensure that aid reaches those who need it most. Together with our supporters, we continue to protect lives, restore hope, and uphold the dignity of Sudanese families living under the shadow of conflict.
