With funds donated through GlobalGiving as well as by many other generous donors, the Near East Foundation was able to provide food packages to 710 families in the areas of Dar as-Salaam ar-Rabwa and Soba and Salama during the month of Ramadan in 2007. Each package consisted of:
- Sugar (15 lbs) - Tea (½ lbs.) - Wheat (4 kg) 4 kg Date and Cooking Oil. - Rice (2 kg) - Beans (4 kg) - Dates (4 kg) - Cooking Oil
In total, approximately 2,580 individuals received food aid for this special occasion.
