In 2025, Hands for Charity ran an Emergency Relief Response in Sudan to support families affected by the ongoing humanitarian crisis and widespread displacement. Many communities have been facing severe shortages of food and basic sanitation supplies as conflict and instability continue to disrupt daily life. To help address these urgent needs, Hands for Charity distributed emergency food parcels and hygiene kits to vulnerable households, providing essential assistance to families struggling to access basic necessities.
Through this emergency effort, 3,160 people were reached, including 372 children, ensuring that vulnerable families received support during an extremely challenging period. The distribution of food helped improve access to basic nutrition, while hygiene kits provided critical sanitation supplies to help families maintain health and dignity in difficult living conditions.
While this support has provided critical relief, the needs on the ground remain immense. Hands for Charity continues to expand its emergency food basket distributions, but additional support is urgently needed to reach more families affected by the crisis. Continued donor support will help ensure that vulnerable communities in Sudan receive the food assistance they need during this ongoing emergency.
