In the past eight weeks, the beneficiaries of the project have made significant achievements in the field of school inclusion, mainly in the areas of communication and integration with their hearing peers. This is the case of Juan Manuel who shows great leadership in the classroom, participating actively and empathizing with peers and teachers, and achieving a high academic level, with very good performance in mathematics.
Meanwhile Isabel Cristina has made significant progress in terms of socialization in the classroom, thanks to her evolution in the oral process, she has managed to overcome her shyness getting closer with their classmates, she has adapted properly to the group.
In the communication area, Erika has improved her skills; she is participating more frequently in the classroom, teachers entrusted monitor’s class activities. Also in this field is evidenced the progress of Samuel, who has increased his vocabulary and interacts vividly with their peers in therapy, trying to learn new words.
In general the twelve children have been successfully incorporated to regular schools with children without hearing impairments; they have overcome their shyness and are open to new processes of socialization.
