Let the renovation begin
Dear Friends and Family,
Our ECD centre is in the heart of the township and we welcome so many amazing children every day and this is only possible because of your donations and support.
Our centre opens at 8am until 2pm and because of your donations we are also able to fund a hot lunch for the children, often the only meal they will get that day. We have 2 classes with around 45 in one and 60 in the other. We have 4 teachers and 1 cook on site and your donations fund these staff, the resources and food every month.
We really value your support to make this possible and we have a few unexpected costs pending that we would love help to fundraise for to help our centre and these include
- 5,000ZAR for waterproofing as we have had some crazy floods recently and we are coming into a puddle in the classrooms,
- 3,000ZAR for gates, some our our little rascals are getting confident with their crawl and making their way to the stairs, we are really worried about this and irgently need to fundraise, purchase and install gates to the stairs.
- 1,000ZAR to purchase sand so we can open the sandpit
- 30,000ZAR to help us fund the building work needed so we can get government funding and become self sustainable
Every penny countd and while this is a large list we can do it if we raise the funds!
Thank You,

Introduction
Our project ensures children will have a sense of belonging and they will take pride in being apart of our program and demonstrate care, compassion and mutual respect towards themselves and each other. Our teachers are changing lives.
Report
Many school across South Africa still do not have access to electricity and the local government predict it will take a minimum of 14 years for them to tackle this issue. Students often walk to school for over 1 hour each way and classrooms are overcrowded, un-safe, poorly resourced and do not provide an adequate education to train future minds to tackle the global issues. The system is failing.
Our local school is registered as a non profit and provides children with a safe and nurturing education full of rich opportunities to learn. We provide a diverse, multicultural and non-discriminating approach, where differing needs, cultures and abilities are respected and valued within inclusive learning environments. Accessing different funding opportunities and gifts from our supporters we are able to provide early childhood development lessons at the school to inspire young minds early.
.
Please remember the little by little campaign in April 3-7 where if you donate up to $50, GlobalGiving will match it at 50%.
Thank you for your support

Working with the community and providing access to learning at an early age we active the brains on young people giving them the inspiration and motivational drive to learn more and become aware off the global issues and how they can work to build awareness and help eliminate the issues within their community.
