118 children death in 54 days Tharaprkar
Three more children died due to malnutrition in drought-hit Thar on Monday taking the death toll to 118 in 54 days. According to reports by AHD field workers from Mithi share that food crises deepen and death of new born babies or young children is continue since last 6 months, recently Govt & NGOs supported in Mithi, Nagrparkar and main cities but in rural areas families still looking support of foods and medicine.
Scarcity of water and food, inaccessibility to relief goods and the far & scattered areas with limited support are the main reasons. There is need to focus on remote areas of Tharaprkar and needs to survey house to house to stop deaths of young children. for more please share any question at info@ahdpak.org we will reply back as soon as possible
