Project Report | Oct 12, 2023
SANAR FOUNDATION REPORT OCTOBER 11th, 2023

By Melba Rojas | Director of FUNDACION SANAR

The activities to highlight during these months are the following:

Patients between the ages of 13 and 17 participated in therapeutic activities, and listening sessions among peers to share life goals once the disease had been overcome. The Foundation's patients had the opportunity to participate in the experience of a butterfly garden and the entire process that caring for life means.

The psychosocial support program has been carried out with the help of the Institute's medical team. Of the 54 patients who have arrived with a specific diagnosis of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, 34 are in a maintenance phase, meaning 62% have passed the most difficult stage of the disease.

Our goal is to give assistance to at least 500 patients. To this date, we are supporting 210 patients and hope to increase this number in the near future.
