SANAR FOUNDATION REPORT JUNE 2025
On February 28th, 2025, the Sanar Foundation celebrated its 40th anniversary with a sung mass attended by patients and their families, the Sanar team, and the Board of Directors. We shared a cake, made a toast, and an honorable mention was given to the Foundation's longest-serving employee. Several patients shared their experiences about the progress of their treatment and the support they received from Sanar.
On February 15th, the day commemorating the fight against childhood cancer, the Foundation, in partnership with the National Cancer Institute, organized a blood drive. The event was very successful, with more than 40 people donating blood.
During the month of March, "educational suitcases" were delivered to the chemotherapy room and the preschool, so the children could have books, notebooks, crayons, and educational games in these spaces to help them pass the time in a more fun way.
On April 26th, we held our third Talent Show, recognizing that every child is unique and admiring their courage and artistic talent. Thirty children took the stage, sang, danced, and played musical instruments; it was a joyous display in the midst of adversity.
In May, we honored the caregiver mothers with an exquisite dinner prepared especially for them to show them how valuable they are.
And as is our custom, we celebrated the birthdays of our child patients every month.
