Many female nursing students in Nigeria can't afford laptops, making it hard to attend online classes, access study materials, conduct research, complete assignments, or join telehealth training. This project will provide 350 students in public nursing schools with refurbished laptops to support their training and help them develop critical digital healthcare skills. Your donation helps bridge the digital gap and close key skill gaps for these aspiring female nurses.
Many female nursing students in Nigeria cannot afford laptops. Without access to a personal device, they struggle to join online classes, research assignments, or use digital learning tools. This affects their ability to keep up with schoolwork, practice telehealth skills, and prepare for jobs in modern healthcare settings. As hospitals and clinics move towards electronic records and virtual care, these students risk being left behind simply because they lack the tools they need to learn.
This project will provide 350 female nursing students in public schools with refurbished laptops, preloaded with medical software and learning tools. With their own laptops, students can join online classes, do research, write assignments, and build digital health skills like telemedicine and electronic records. This support gives them the tools to succeed in school and prepares them to serve in hospitals, clinics and clinical research organizations after graduation.
Access to laptops will help these nursing students complete their education with stronger digital and clinical skills. In the long run, they'll be better prepared to work in hospitals, clinics, and health programs that rely on digital tools. As more of them graduate and enter the workforce, they can help improve healthcare access in underserved communities and pass on these skills to others. This project helps build stronger, skilled health workforce for the future, including in nonprofit sectors.
