Empower Disabled People with Unity

By Team | RSKS India

Respected Donor Namaste!

There is still a section in our society that is struggling with their rights and problems. These are the disabled groups. some people  in our society considers such disabled people as a curse and keeps them separate from others, in such a situation, the disabled people have their own mindset that they cannot play their own participation in the society or either go home and sit down. Such disabled people do not get a chance to get organized so that their voice does not reach the society.

In a unique initiative, RSKS organization conducted handicapped welfare project in 16 villages of ajmer in which people with disabilities were selected through a survey and organized into groups called Disabled People's Organization (DPO). In which the handicapped people of the village organize and hold monthly meetings. Every month DPO meetings are taken by RSKS Organization. In the meeting, the DPO group is informed about their legal rights and RPDW Act. People with disabilities are becoming aware of this. Along with this, people with disabilities are being given the benefit of the five basic schemes implemented on health, education, employment, social security and empowerment, banking scheme and other schemes.

DPO groups formed by RSKS are become aware of their rights and are also taking action on their own level for their rights. They are also participating in the activities at the Panchayati level and discussing their issues due to which their public hearing is being possible, now the DPO group meets at its own level every month and also organizes the awareness program and is also making the rural masses aware. This is an example of empowerment where people with disabilities are organized and moving towards the path of progress.

Once again thank you so much for your valuable Support.

Many Regards
