Support 450 People Living with Disabilities

Disabled people are the ones who are neglected by mony people of the community and this happens due to not proper awareness as well as the disabled people not going out in the community due to mobility issues or any other issues. They feel shameful due to their disability and this is which must be stopped. They also do not have proper disabled welfare equipment/devices like tricycle, crutches etc for their mobility as well as other devices which enable them to communicate. They have lack of these devices/equipments due to lack of funds as most of the rural disabled people belong to economically poor families. Their problems must be heard and they must be provided proper disabled equipments/devices so that their involvement at the community level could be increased.

To solve the problems of the disabled people, RSKS India team members are working at the ground level to ensure that the voices of these disabled people living in the rural villages must be heard. In this context, RSKS India team member ensured that the problems of these disabled people must be solved and provided them many disabled equipments and devices like tricycle, crutches, hearing aids etc. RSKS team members also went with them at the hospitals for their medical checkup and were able to do the medical checkup of approx 255 people with disabilities. RSKS team members told these people about their rights and government schemes from which they could benefit and have a support in future.

Through this work done by RSKS India team, the disabled people were able to easily move and go to the functions, occasions, celebrations in the villages as now their mobility issues are being solved. These disabled people now need no one to move and are now able to do this by own. Also through the disabled equipments and devices many disabled people were able to hear and do other things which they needed the most. The disabled people who were not going to hospitals due to their thinking that it would cost a lot to them are now going at the hospitals as now their medical checkup is free of cost as now they are aware of their rights. These disabled people as well as their family members thanked RSKS India team & Donors for all the welfare work and gave blessings with a happy face.
