Dear Patron !
RSKS India Family wishes you a Happy #GivingTuesday!
RSKS India is doing disabled welfare work at the remote villages of Ajmer as it is our thinking that the disabled people living at remote villages are not able to have many facilities and special attention must be given to them. The disabilities like Cerebral palsy, Multiple sclerosis, Autism, Learning disability, Mental disorder, Developmental delay etc are the one’s which surely requires special care especially when it is to children. In this context, RSKS India is working with 35 children with disabilities in order to improve their mental as well as physical condition a little and is doing home based activities with them so that they could understand in a better way.
The home based activities are organized with every child with disability one by one and it is taken care that one child with disability would be reached every fortnight. In these home based activities the Children with Disabilities are taught the daily life activities, colour knowledge, pattern knowledge, counting, signs, hygiene practices, basic level of education through the help of games, tools, charts, etc and then all these activities are told to the parents also so that they could implement it daily with the children so that small results could be obtained which could change the life of the family. Every fortnight when the RSKS India team members reach again to the house of the disabled child then the past weeks improvement or problems are discussed and then the course is repeated if there are problems and if not then the next level of education or activities are done with these children.
Through the home based activities a small improvement in the mental as well as physical health of these children was being observed. Their parents were able to have some relax as through this the children with disabilities were able to do their daily life tasks by their own. The disabled children were able to get the basic level of education through these activities and some day they could even join the mainstream of education. Communication level of these children with disabilities also increased through these home based activities as the children were able to show signs which could be understood by the parents too. This program was appreciated by the family of the disabled children and they thanked RSKS India team members and Donors through which this program was possible.
