Support 450 People Living with Disabilities

There are many disabled people living in the rural areas who are not having proper facilities and are not aware about the government and private schemes for them and are unable to do their medical check up and face other problems too. RSKS India is working for the Welfare of the disabled people from past many years and currently is working with more than 450 disabled people and children of more than 16 villages. RSKS India team members work for the empowerment, social inclusion, education, livelihood and health of the disabled people. The RSKS Team members always keep updated about the social security schemes and other schemes of the government and private as well as any other opportunities from the private so that the best could be done for the disabled people.

In this context, RSKS India team members were able to link 43 disabled people from 16 rural remote villages to the social security schemes like the pension yojana, disabled bus pass, disabled train pass, disability card etc so that these 4 disabled people could have all the benefits of the schemes. For doing this work, the RSKS team had to go many times to the hospitals and at the rural administration office as the documentation work takes time and also whenever their was the need of the disabled person while preparing the documents then the disabled and their family members were also called but it was ensured that they would not disturbed as less as possible. The linkage of the disabled people with the social security schemes was very much necessary as it provides support to the disabled person throughout his/her life.

The disabled people were very happy when they got linked with the social security schemes as earlier they and their family members were not able to link them with the social security schemes as they didn’t had much money or time to travel again and again to the city. Also they said that through the support of RSKS India it was only possible that the disabled people were linked with the social security schemes so fast. Now the disabled people would be benefitting from all the different disabled schemes of the government & private and their mobilization would also be supported through it. The parents/guardians of the disabled as well as the disabled people thanked RSKS India from bottom of their heart for making the things possible for them.
