This project seeks support to provide Nutritional Assistance and improve the learning skill through innovative methods for 489 disadvantaged dalit Arunthathiyar children in 10 villages of Taramangalam Block, Salem District of Tamilnadu with a view to motivating and encouraging the dalit Arunthathiyar children to go to schools without absence so as to reduce dropout rates and eliminate the practice of existing child bonded laborer and child laborer problems. Particularly the girl children stay in school to prevent from abuses and exploitations which most increase recently in our location as well as major rural parts of India.

In each village center, a local educated volunteer was appointed as motivators to give special coaching to the children. The classes are taken in the evening 5.00 to 7.00 pm. In the beginning of the class, the children are supported to complete the home works given by the school teachers. After that English lesions are taught by phonic method. Also the children are learning English using audio materials and work books. In alternate days, the mathematics is taught in easy learning methods. To monitor the regular activities, a education coordinator was appointed. For effective implementation, the quarter wise trainings are given to motivators. In each center, the skill charts are maintained to know the levels reached by the children.
