June/July Newsletter

Newsletter June/ July 2015

Dear friends and supporters,

Here is an update on our progress.

We have been very busy here at God’s Love Home/School, and hosted our great ‘Parents/Guardians meeting. It was exciting to hear from the community we serve how they appreciate our work. GLH is Godly sent, teaching is superb at GLS, we can now eat drink good clean food and water, get medical support…our children are really happy. Though some commented on the issue/need for immediate medical care to reach treatment points. The photo is of our recently purchased house

Our Sugar cane has matured and is now due cutting …our head- teacher ,Julius has been in Masindi chasing the process. I attach a photo for ongoing cutting activity…pray that the process goes well. A friend has helped with electricity connection and water installation is in process…Our Home/School has power… We can now use our one laptop computer to communicate with friends like you, Teachers can access internet through their mobile phones

There is lighting after dark and our hair cutter machine is being used. We pray that the water connections comes through quickly; installation is done but water is not yet seen due too long procedures involved.

We have had learning tour where our children visited wonderful places to look at the practical aspect of what they are taught in classes…They saw a giraffe! Our children enjoyed a day of total relaxation, starting with an hour of City square ,a zoo places,…… followed by superfoods workshop. Justus then made a short presentation of the organisation, followed by a gorgeous organic lunch. Photos were taken by our dedicated Teacher Justus photographer. We altogether thanks to all the other generous souls that also gave us a helping hand.  We are planning another event in September due the popularity of this first one, as everyone had such a lovely time and we had fantastic feedback!

James was generously supported with a study course on “Christian view on Disability ministry” which was conducted at Africa Christian Renewal University….We had a fantastic feedback on how to manage vulnerable children as Christians in communities we serve.

I shared about a new house we bought and I attach a photo …this house acts as a classroom presently. Again, thanks for supporting this cause for a next class.

Here are our prayers needs;

1- Friends will be visiting GLH for renovation work end of this year. Pray that this goes well.

2-Websit design progress goes well

3-Building planning goes well.

4-God’s provision for clothes, shoes of some children between ages 1 to 10.

5-Orphan scheme sponsorship to come quick and an administrator be seen to help on this .

Blessings,

James
