Dear Friends,
Thank you for praying –Our girls are developing their vocational skills. -Miriam trained in hair dressing and recently she trimmed a visitor’s hair with her scissor. David was impressed at her skill. You may recall that Miriam came to us as a total orphan and has lived at GLH since child hood, she studied to primary level and felt she wished to develop specific skills in hair dressing and music. She is leading a church choir, whilst another girl Janet is helping with keyboard playing. They have commenced developing a choir group they have named as 2017D.
We were thrilled with our Australian visitor to GLH. We have had lovely time with him helping analyse building needs-and costs. While here, he recommended a phased building approach should we get an opportunity of raising 237Millions to begin with. He recommended that the money we have been used to complete the staff living accommodation, dig a bore hole and purchase a small farm to grow food for our daily needs. He produced the phased drawings, officiated at our girls’ graduation ceremony. Photo attached- He encouraged them not to relax in their next endeavours. He bought us the keyboard for the girls to practice on.
Prayer requests and thanksgivings:
1-Janet found a key board player teacher and could also train others.
2-Farm land purchase has happened. We are now looking forward to farming and doing poultry for income generating activities.
3-David particularly wished to thank and praise God for His wonderful favour always, for safety on the roads and very successful three weeks with GLH.
4-Classroom sponsor to come on board as soon as possible if this is God's will.
5-GLS Football Team placed number 5 out of 16 schools that participated in the tournment.
Psalm105:19 – Until the time comes for God to fulfil His words, the word of the Lord is still testing us, like it did for Joseph when he was in the prison. His words were: Nehemiah 2:20 The God of Heaven will help us succeed. We, His servants will arise and build our school.
Blessings,
James
