March 2024 Update

Dear supporters and donors,

Our previous report summarises on the activities that happened after July 2023 until December 2023. Shabuka Bakobwa project was still ongoing in the vocational training phase back and we also had a major Christmas Food Aid distribution to feed vulnerable young mothers and their children and homeless children within the Gasogi area, which is where our Imirasire Youth Clinic is located and where the Food Aid event was held. Cooked meals were given and everyone sat and enjoyed their time together.

And for now, let us catch up with some quick news on what happened early 2024!

January 2024: Moto-taxi driving training still ongoing for the Shabuka Bakobwa beneficiaries. The regular aid distribution of clothes, flour and other essential items are given to them by the end of the month.
February 2024: Rwanda TV (RTV) visited Centre Marembo Organization to see the AMARIZA cooperative of female moto-taxi drivers, Imirasire Youth Clinic and the mobile clinic. The cooperative members and representative of AMARIZA shared their experiences and journey of development they had with Centre Marembo.
March 2024: Early week of March as the official TV airing of the interview with Centre Marembo on Rwanda TV (RTV) channel. The very same interview episode can now be watched on RTV Youtube channel, however the interview is in Kinyarwanda and no English subtitles: #TINYUKA: Bibumbiye hamwe biyemeza guhindura imibereho binyuze mu gutwara moto, ubworozi, n'ibindi (youtube.com)

We also let you know that April 2024 Little x Little campaign is coming up soon!

From 8th April to 12th April 2024, GlobalGiving will match any donations within these dates by 50%. Basically, if a donor donates 10 USD, then GlobalGiving will match it with 5 USD, totalling the donation to 15 USD!
