Hello, dear community!

We hope this email finds you well.

We can't believe how fast 2024 is going! Here we are with our newsletter and we are happy to share the updates of the programs you make possible.

1. Our after-school program for kids is growing day by day.

In addition to the group of kids we have on Saturdays that they study arts, science English and math we plan to open another group on Mondays. We are also looking for a bigger space to rent to host more workshops and have more groups.

2. We got the chance to celebrate some local festivals. The Amazon region and Iquitos are known for their rich traditions and happy life. Together we celebrated the festival of San Juan and día del Pascador (the day of Saint Juan and Fisherman Day)

3. GlobalGiving fundraising campaign:

During April we had the ‘little-by-little’ fundraising campaign in collaboration with GlobalGiving (a non-profit organisation connecting donors with grassroots projects worldwide). Thanks to generous donations we managed to collect 1300 USD!

Thanks to the donations, we have been able to do the following:

 1. Buy 3 computers for the children in their English and computer classes.

 2. Buy a projector to show movies or to use in English and science classes.

 3. Buy an extra fan for the largest room. Now is the rainy season and the humidity and heat increase dramatically.

 4. Take the children on a trip to the “Monkey Island” and the “Serpentarium” The children enjoy this day so much.

These types of experiences are very important for children because they learn directly about animals, their habitats, and their characteristics, but above all the importance and responsibility that they have to take care of the environment. Thank you for making it possible.

5. We help dreams to come true in Casa Ainbo:

We continue working with 27 children and teenagers providing different workshops and activities in sports, art, music, English maths and much more!

We asked the kids what they like in Casa Ainbo and what they want to be when they grow up.

Here are some of the answers:

Why do you like Casa Ainbo ?

*I like to come and learn maths and art, I feel good and loved in Casa Ainbo.

*Because I meet very good, fun people and they teach me very important things, it is very fun.

*Because they teach me a lot of new and interesting things.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Dentist, Doctor, Policewoman, International tourist guide or Biologist, Soccer player, Firefighter, Engineer

At IMFUNDO KAHLE educational organisation, we continue our work to achieve and encourage children to succeed in their studies and fulfil their dreams.

We believe that giving the right tools will create a sustainable and resilient community that won't rely on charity but will be independent and self-sufficient.

see you in the next newsletter,

with much love,
